| | Airport Master Plans are developed in order to plan for responsible development for two decades. Master Plans consider existing facilities, historical operational levels, and existing capacity to address future operations and future facility requirements. Thus, it is also important for the planning team to develop a reasonable financial plan for the airport and to consider this while recommending alternative plan concepts. Furthermore, an updated Master Plan is also essential when seeking federal assistance for development projects.
