Friday, February 9, 2007, the Asheville Regional Airport Authority Board approved the Art in the Airport program and policy. This program features the work of artists within the 11-county service area of the airport on a rotating schedule, allowing for the display of a wide variety of local artwork. Exhibits last approximately 120 days.
The current exhibit will be on display
through June 30, 2009.

To Apply for Art in the Airport:
- Download the Art in the Airport Policy. This document contains very important, detailed information about how the program operates and what artists need to know.
- Download the Artist Application (the other attachments will only become necessary if you are accepted into the program) and follow these steps to create a complete application packet:
- Fill in the “Artist Information” section completely.
- List each piece of artwork you are submitting (Minimum of four [4] works, maximum of ten [10] works) in the “Artwork Information” section.
- Write in or provide a brief typed artist biography (no more than one page).
- Provide a brief (50 words or less) typed description (inspiration or story behind the piece) of each work you are submitting (no more than one page).
- Attach a CD or DVD containing

- A current artist photograph (head-shot only).
