The Asheville Regional Airport strives to make travel to-and-from the airport as comfortable and convenient as possible, especially for passengers with special needs. In both the long- and short-term parking areas, there are a number of "handicap" spaces. These spaces are located directly across from the main terminal entrance. Skycaps are available curbside at the main terminal entrance to assist passengers, and help with luggage.

As you enter the terminal building, doors will open automatically. Once inside, you'll find pay phones throughout the building at various heights to accommodate wheelchair passengers. There is also a TDD device across in the main terminal lobby. All restrooms have extra large handicap stalls with assist rails, and wheelchairs are available for use within the airport. Just ask your airline for assistance.

Should you need an elevator to reach the second floor, one is located to the left of the escalators as you come through screening. A second elevator, located at the Delta Connection end of the airline ticket counters, will take you to Airport Authority Offices located on the second floor.

When boarding the plane, passengers with special needs are encouraged to board the aircraft first. Please contact your individual airline ahead of time to request assistance.

And, of course, seeing eye dogs and other service animals are welcome.

If you have questions regarding services available to passengers with disabilities, please call your airline.
